Within the Primary Care Improvement Plan and part of the Treatment and Care services work stream we are now able to refer to a phlebotomist based within Hubs across Glasgow. This will allow our patients more flexibility and choice of appointment times to fit in to your daily life. Appointments are offered daily from 8.30am till 4.30pm.
Phlebotomy Service
This service is for pre-planned bloods requested by the GP or Hospital Consultant and does require that you collect a referral form from the Practice prior to contacting the service. Patients are advised to state if they will be attending fasting bloods so that they are given an appropriate appointment time. The number given (0141 355 1525) is for a Single Point of Access for the Phlebotomy Service.
Other Treatment Room Services
These include Administration of Medication, Ear Syringing, Leg Ulcer Management, Removal of Stitches and Clips and Wound Care. All of these services require a referral from the Practice and at that time telephone numbers will be given for patients to make their own appointments.
